How you can help your
cat live a longer life
Heredity and breed will influence the life span of
cats, but you can add years and quality to your cat's
life by providing:
... the best diet you can afford
and proper medical care.
You should know that unlike pet dogs (and some of
us) cats usually don't make a fuss or show any signs
of being sick.
Cats in the wild will hide symptoms of illness or
injury because they don't want to attract the attention
of predators. Your domestic cat acts the same way
and could be feeling absolutely awful ... and appear
perfectly normal to you.
... Cats that are allowed outdoors
are exposed to traffic, disease, parasites and unkind
people.
Indoor cats, perhaps lead less exciting lives,
but they are more likely to live into their senior
years ... and avoid a lot more trips to the vet.
